#SundaySoundtrack Father’s Day Special

WELCOME to another #SundaySoundtrack this week a Father’s Day special where we’re picking our favourite Dad anthems perfect for jamming with your dad this Sunday.

Thin Lizzy – ‘Boys Are Back In Town’

A classic that’s considered to be one of the best songs ever made, Phil Lynott’s soulful rock vocals and some thumping dual guitar all lead to one of the most memorable choruses of all time. An essential for Father’s Day.

The Rolling Stones – ‘Sympathy For The Devil’

Perhaps the best song of arguably the greatest band ever to grace this world. ‘Sympathy For The Devil’ is simply incredible, samba style rock with Jagger singing as Lucifer what’s not to love about this song?

The Doors – ‘Light My Fire’

One of the best songs from the eternally brilliant The Doors, it’s been covered a million times by the likes of Shirley Bassey to Will Young. Signature vocals from the late great Jim Morrison memorable lyrics guaranteed to get everybody singing along.

Queen – ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’

Would a Father’s Day #SundaySoundtrack ever be complete without a little dabble of Queen?

The Beatles – ‘Hey Jude’

Get ready for a sing a long, one of the best Beatles song around McCartney and Lennon in their prime creating simply beautiful music.

Sister Sledge – ‘He’s The Greatest Dancer’

This disco anthem is a throwback to an era when the middle-age dads of today were throwing dangerous shapes out on the dance floor in their prime. Also features brilliantly in a Late Night Tuff Guy mix which will be appearing next Friday.

AC/DC – ‘Back in Black’

A song that needs no introduction, this is an absolute essential for any and all dads around the world. Pioneering the ways of classic rock and roll, AC/DC are an obvious but always worthwhile choice! If you don’t rock out to this today, then shame on you.

That’s it from us enjoy Father’s Day and remember to play him a few good tunes from our choices too!
