#SundaySoundtrack #31

THE ultimate Sunday playlist, the #SundaySoundtrack has returned once again to help you subdue those hangover blues. As always we aim to deliver a cracking list of tunes that we’ve been enjoying this week to help lift those hangover spirits and make you forget that Monday is just around the corner.

Will Shipley:

A$AP Rocky – ‘L$D’

Rocky’s new album At.Long.Last.A$AP is my favourite album of the year so far and ‘L$D’ is my favourite track. Rocky mixes it up hugely here coming in with some trippy and hazy production and Rocky singing, that’s right Rocky sings entirely throughout this tune. Not only is the song amazing but the video may be the best I’ve ever seen in my life as well. Absolute summer belter tune in have a listen and let Rocky take you on the ride of your life.

Sam Karam:

Love Over Entropy – ‘Tonii (Dixon Retouch)’

A track championed by the likes of Annie Mac, Sven Vath, and Âme, this hypnotic slow-house jam is the latest in the weapons arsenal of Dixon productions. The Innervisions head-honcho has almost taken it and made it his own with smooth edit.

Pete Sullivan:

Turn me up – ‘Benassi Bros (DJ Kuba and Neitan Remix)’

This is one for any of those who’ve recently finished exams, and is guaranteed to be a banger in the resorts this Summer. With a tasty underlying beat and a delightfully crescendo ridden chorus, it’s hard not to find yourself moving along to this one.

Toby Gebbie:

Andy C – ‘Heartbeat Loud (Andy C VIP)’

Something a bit different to the usual for this weekend. Andy C has jumped back into the main stream with this belter – the remix takes it up a notch. Put this on very loud and get your Sunday off to a good start!

Barney Greenish:

Jamie xx – ‘Sleep Sound’

Finally had a chance to catch up with the eagerly anticipated new album, excellently reviewed by our writer Sam. Superb track for the summer.

Daria Jaszcz:

Bite Night – ‘Beers To Tears’

This week I’m sharing a great new find from the Scottish Highlands who are playing at this years XpoNorth festival: Bite Night. Don’t be fooled, there’s no trace of bagpipes within their music, just cool, elegant guitar riffs and an element of something slightly Arctic Monkey-esq…in a good way. It’s almost hard to believe that all I could find is a short EP made of 4 tracks from these guys and a few announcements of gigs up at the likes of Belladrum. However, all is forgiven with my pick for this Sunday: Beers To Tears. The music video features all the things you need this Sunday morning, a mix of reminder of last nights regrets and some semi-muscly musicians covering themselves in baby oil and wrestling rather ‘homoeroctically’.

That’s it from us with a another #SundaySoundtrack, let us know on Facebook or Twitter what would’ve made yours!
