As summer well and truly comes to an end I thought it was only right to give a mention to the sunniest tune to have been released over these past summer months. Felix Jaehn and Freddy Verano teamed up to give us their collaboration Shine, and with the aid of the soothing vocals of Linying created a truly uplifting tune.
Felix Jaehn has been storming the airwaves with the demand for sunny chill house music ever increasing thanks to the popularity of DJs like Kygo and Thomas Jack. Felix’s music is very much of the same movement and instantly makes you feel like you’re chilling on the beach and fills you with summer goodness.
Shine begins with the delicate vocals of Linying and builds with layers of sax-synths and uplifting riffs. Special mention has to go to the superb soulful jazz flute that kicks in midway through the tune that even Ron Burgundy would be proud of. For me this has been one of the anthems of the summer and as the days turn shorter and darker I know I can rely on this song to transport me back to sunnier times.
Make sure you check it out,
